Use Mayonnaise or Olive oil to get rid of head lice: Olive oil and mayonnaise have proved to be very effective in helping people to get rid of their problems related to head lice. You must saturate your head with olive oil or mayonnaise and cover your scalp with a cloth or shower cap and leave it for 8 hours. After 8 hours, you can rinse your hair and you will be rid of head lice. Depending on your problem, you must saturate your hair with olive oil or mayonnaise. You can use it up to 3-4 times a week. This remedy is a harmless way to get rid of head lice.
Vinegar: Using vinegar is a very useful remedy to get rid of head lice problems. However, vinegar should be used very carefully or it can damage your skin on the scalp. You must always use diluted vinegar. You must dilute one part vinegar with 10 parts water. You must apply the diluted vinegar solution on your hair and leave it for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, you can wash off your hair.
Kerosene: If your head lice problem persists, you can try using kerosene to get rid of head lice. However, while using kerosene you must take utmost precaution to avoid any damage to your skin and hair. You must not keep kerosene applied to your hair for more than 10 minutes. It is always advisable to avoid using kerosene as much as possible to get rid of head lice.
Shaving cream: If you have tried out various methods to get rid of head lice, but haven’t succeeded, you can try applying regular shaving cream on your scalp. However, you must use it only as a last resort while trying to get rid of head lice. You should not keep the shaving cream on your scalp for more than 10-20 minutes.
