Get rid of your children’s head lice once and for all:

Head lice can be a source of constant irritating for children. Hence, it is very important to get rid of your child’s lice problem at the earliest. Following are some children head lice treatment methods you can consider:

1. The first thing you need to do is use an effective anti-lice shampoo such as Rid or Nox that you can obtain from any pharmacy. Ensure to follow the package directions carefully. You need to apply these shampoos only after washing and drying your child’s hair. Thereafter, you can apply adequate amounts of shampoo until your child’s hair and scalp are completely saturated with it. You need to leave the shampoo on for at least 10 minutes or as instructed on the package. You should repeat this shampoo treatment within the next 7-8 days to kill newly hatched lice. You can use Ovide (Malathion), a prescription shampoo to get rid off resistant lice. It is a very effective children head lice treatment.

1. To ensure total children head lice treatment, it is essential for you to remove all the nits present in your child’s hair. For this, you can use a plastic comb. For better results, you should consider using a fine toothed metal comb or electric comb, which kill head lice by electrocuting them.

1. Before using such combs for children head lice treatment, you should use a regular brush or comb to remove tangles and separate your kid’s hair into sections. Thereafter, you can use the metallic or electric comb and run it through each section of your child’s hair. 

1. Apart from these children head lice treatments, you can consider implementing other home remedies. A concoction of five teaspoons of Pure Olive Carrier Oil (or Pure Coconut Carrier Oil), five drops of Lavender Essential Oil,  five drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil, five drops of Rosemary Essential Oil and five drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil can prove effective in children head lice treatment. You need to massage your child’s hair and scalp with this mixture and leave it for at least an hour under a tight-fitting shower cap or towel to prevent drips. Thereafter you can rinse and shampoo the hair thoroughly.

1. Another children head lice treatment method involves smothering the hair with Vaseline or mayonnaise. You can apply mayonnaise to your child’s hair at regular intervals of 7 -10 days until the problem ends.
